It’s refreshing to read a positive article about the safety of Cancun.
The biggest takeaway from this report is that using common sense goes a long way in keeping you safe, no matter where you travel.
Drinking enough to pass out on the beach makes anybody an easy victim of a crime or accident. Don’t be stupid.

I recently returned from the Riviera Maya and felt no danger. I didn’t visit anywhere north of the Cancun Airport, so can’t really comment on what was happening there or the safety of Cancun.
